A bit about Rockstart

Rockstart, one of Europe's first multi-vertical startup accelerators, was founded in Amsterdam in 2011 with a goal to provide startups with access to the market, capital, knowledge, and community. In 2017, Rockstart announced its first Web & Mobile startup accelerator in Bogotá, Colombia to further its mission of actively building up entrepreneurial infrastructures around the world with its acceleration verticals.

 

The role

Rockstart Colombia is on a mission of establishing itself as Latin America’s #1 startup accelerator. With our accelerator programs we provide the most promising startups from around the world with access to capital, resources and networks.
To continue our rapid growth, we are looking for an energetic administrative jack of all trades, someone with a hands-on mentality who can bring the efficiency and administration of our strongly growing organization to a higher level. You will be working on the intersection of legal, finance and HR.


Your main responsibilities will be:

  • Maintaining and updating digital and physical folder structure for all our administrations;
  • Preparing and updating legal documents;
  • Maintaining and updating personnel files;
  • Assisting in organizing legal & other workshops for startups;
  • Assisting with visa-applications for startups;
  • Assisting with requests for legalizations and apostille;
  • Assisting with our bookkeeping, processing expenses sheets and invoices;
  • Assisting with recruitment tasks;
  • Taking on different projects to improve processes and help move the company forward;
  • Taking care of all sorts of administrative duties, including filing, copying, binding, scanning, and printing of documents, etc.;
  • Organising travel arrangements;
  • Taking care of office supplies;
  • Assisting with ad-hoc tasks around the office.

Within this position, you will touch upon all aspects of running an international and dynamic company from the back office perspective.

Requirements

What makes you the perfect candidate?

To be a rockstar in this position, you need to be flexible, accurate, organized and stress resistant. You like to take initiative and dive into something and do not rest until you get to the bottom of something. You don’t mind doing repetitive tasks while you are always looking for ways of doing things smarter and you are comfortable in a digital environment where lots of different and new tools are being used.


Function requirements

We are looking for an energetic jack of all trades; a self-starter with the following qualities:

  • a great sense of responsibility and accuracy;
  • an efficient approach to handling things;
  • good with figures, well-organized and structured;
  • fluent in Spanish + English;
  • based in Bogotá;
  • 2 - 5 years work experience (familiar with tasks abovementioned);
  • experience in legal administration/documentation;
  • an affinity with startups and entrepreneurship.


Start: ASAP

Availability: full-time.

Duration: initial 6-month contract, with the possibility of a fixed position

Remuneration: Based on experience and knowledge.
