The role

In order to achieve and maintain a healthy occupancy rate of our coworking, parking and event space, we are looking for a commercially minded, hands on Sales Manager who is excited about bringing our community offerings to startups and other parties. On an average day, you will be scouting on- and offline networks for leads, setting up viewings and trials, collecting feedback, following up on opportunities, and closing on memberships and event space reservations.

Together with our Head of Spaces, you will anticipate and prepare for the constant dynamics in team size of the early stage startups that work in the building space. Your main focus lies on maintaining a full and engaged pipeline of startups waiting to enter our community, as well as ensuring continuous revenue from our event venue.

Your main responsibilities will be:

  • Build a pipeline of startups and other potential users for different Rockstart Spaces offerings;
  • Actively reach out and ensure contact moments with these leads;
  • Convert leads into users of our office and/or event and parking spaces;
  • Creatively develop and increase on- and offline visibility of Rockstart Spaces;
  • Create and execute sales plans and timelines, anticipating the highly dynamic early-stage startup market;
  • Curate a highly relevant and thriving startup community under guidance of the Head of Spaces.


What makes you the perfect candidate?

You love to sell, basically. Once you know that what you’re selling is a great proposition, you can’t wait to hunt down the right customer for it and convince them they need this. While you love the moment a prospect converts into a customer, you also appreciate open and honest communication. You’re not into selling bullshit: you know you have something they actually want. They just need to realize this. And because of your honesty and openness, people tend to like and trust you. You thrive in a hectic environment where tight deadlines and changing circumstances only make you more focused.

Must have requirements:

  • 1-2 years of experience in a commercial role;
  • Proven ability to convince and convert leads;
  • Affinity with startups as well as ability to connect with all kinds of companies and individuals for our event space;
  • Fluent in Dutch and English;
  • Proactive, entrepreneurial, results-oriented attitude with an ability to work effectively in a non-hierarchical environment.

Bonus points: 

  • Experience in the real estate market.

Availability: 40 hours per week.

Duration: This is a long-term position. We’ll start with an initial 6-month contract.

Remuneration: Based on experience and knowledge.
