About the role:

Rockstart is an early stage investor on a mission to empower founders to drive positive change on a global scale. With a global network and offices in Amsterdam, Copenhagen and Bogotá, we’re providing proven fast-track scaling solutions and investments for purpose-driven founders operating in the verticals of AgriFood, Energy and Emerging Technology.


The Rockstart AgriFood fund is one of the world’s most active early-stage investors within FoodTech and AgTech. We invest in technologies and new business models that improve our food supply system from soil to gut.


As an Analyst you will be a key part of our AgriFood investment team whose primary responsibility is to source, manage and execute early stage investments. This will be both initial investments at the pre-seed stage as well as follow-on investments from seed to series B.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the team in scouting, sourcing and managing new investment opportunities;

  • Be part of running follow-on investment processes which includes review of investment documentation, financial modelling and general stakeholder management;

  • Researching companies and trends within AgTech and FoodTech to shape and refine the fund investment strategy;

  • Building networks and relationships throughout the venture capital ecosystem;

  • Support on portfolio reporting towards our LPs and board


About you

You have a passion for working with mission driven founders and early stage startups. You like to connect with people,build trusting relationships across stakeholder groups and love to work in a team. As a person you are dedicated and take pride in owning processes and tasks. You gain energy from having focussed time when working from home, balanced with regular office days to reconnect with colleagues.


You have an open style of communication and are able to distil large volumes of information into clear and concise analysis and recommendations.


Ideally you are about to graduate from your master studies or have 1-2 years of experience since graduating. Preferably you have studied finance, economics or related fields of studies that makes you well equipped to take on a role in the investment industry.

Availability: 37/40 hours per week

Duration: Initial 6 month contract, with views to extend to a longer period

Location: We have a remote-first approach with offices in Copenhagen or Amsterdam
