A bit about Rockstart
Rockstart launched in 2011 in Amsterdam as one of Europe’s first startup accelerators. Today, Rockstart is an international company that supports and empowers the best startups on their way to success across four domains: Energy, Health, AgriFood, and Emerging technologies. We provide startups with access to capital, market, community, and expertise by connecting them to partners, investors, mentors and the wider Rockstart network.
Rockstart also creates programs that are customized to boost collaboration between startups and corporates, driving faster access to co-creation, commercial partnerships, and investment. Rockstart has experience in designing and executing programs for Maersk, Shell, Dutch Ministry of Health, and many others.
Since its inception, Rockstart has invested in almost 200 startups and supported them in their journey to raise more than €89 million and hire more than 700 people. Rockstart is an international team of 35+ professionals dedicated to support and empower startups to become scalable and change their world for the better.
In the role of Commercial Support you are a driving force behind the sales team. The goal of Rockstart’s sales team is to develop access to market through establishing value-creating collaborations with large organizations. You will be reporting directly to one of the Rockstart management team members and working closely with our key operational teams.
Developing and writing sales/lead collateral
Gathering and triangulating leads via various data sources (existing data, LinkedIn and other relevant platforms)
Developing and executing internal criteria and lead generation
Market scanning and mapping to identity corporate clients
Other ad-hoc tasks and projects which support the sales team
What makes you the perfect candidate?
You handle things systematically and are always looking for ways to optimize. You like to analyze and are driven to write/communicate in a compelling manner. Even though you are very good at what you do, you don’t feel the need to always be on the forefront but rather enjoy having a supportive function as long as it’s something you believe in and you are of great value to the process.
You are enrolled as a student for the entire duration of the internship
Proactive, entrepreneurial and result oriented attitude
Capacity to work effectively in a non-hierarchical environment
Quick thinker with a very accurate way of working
Proficient in English (internal language of communication at Rockstart)
Technically skilled and quick with excel sheets and IT systems
International mindset and curious by nature

Starting date: Q4 2019
Availability: 40 hours per week (negotiable)
Duration: 6 months
Salary: 300,- per month

As an intern you will never be alone. Rockstart works with multiple interns in different roles so there is a strong, international intern community at Rockstart that likes to hang out and exchange experiences.
At Rockstart we have a great events space that is always being used for different events you can join, usually with drinks and snacks provided.

Interns at Rockstart get free lunch and unlimited fresh coffee brews and tea. Besides, we have a team breakfast every Monday and drinks throughout the month.
