Job description

As a Corporate Program Manager, you run the Rockstart programs that connect startups to our corporate partners for investment or commercial collaboration. You are responsible for the execution of 2-3 programs at a time. You know how to multitask, delegate tasks to team members and always think one step ahead. You are at the center of a flawlessly planned and executed program and work with the team to make sure the program hits its targets on timing, execution quality and startup satisfaction levels. You represent Rockstart externally and are the first point of contact for the programs’ external stakeholders, i.e. the corporate partner, startups, mentors etc. You report to the Program Director, who will support you in achieving success and your personal development and growth.

Examples of programs you would run are FoodTrack by Maersk, Finture Solutions powered by FMO, Green Challenge DeepDive Program with Postcode Lottery & DOEN and the New Energy Challenge with Shell.

Your main tasks and responsibilities will be:

  • Program management: running the entire process of planning, executing and evaluating Rockstart’s corporate programs;
  • Account management: making sure the corporate partner is engaged and satisfied;
  • Budget management: keeping track of programs budgets and incoming invoices specific to each program;
  • Stakeholder management: communicating with everyone involved in each program, i.e. startups, mentors, investors, guests;
  • Event management: designing and execute the programs events, together with the events team;
  • Product development: creating documentation and improving the program guides and tools to optimize future execution of programs;
  • Marketing: working closely together with the Branding & Community team to write updates and blogs about Rockstart’s corporate programs.

You are a real organisational freak who loves to stay on top of things and find smarter ways to do them. You always look ahead while never losing sight of the details. You are excited about working in a hectic startup environment and are not afraid to speak your mind. You also understand the corporate world and now how to work with external partners and various stakeholders. You are a team player who picks up slack when you see it and you work at a blazing pace to deliver on deadlines. You are smart and savvy with a critical eye for processes and systems. You have a proactive, entrepreneurial, results-oriented attitude with an ability to work effectively in a non-hierarchical environment.. Oh, and you love to work in a fun environment.

Must have requirements: 

  • Living in or at reasonable travel distance from Amsterdam (or willing and able to quickly relocate);
  • Fluent in English;
  • At least 3 year work experience in program management or operations;
  • Tech-savvy and super efficient.

Bonus points: 

  • Experience in working at or with a corporate;
  • Experience in the startup scene and/or having organized/attended events like Startup Weekend or other startup related meetups;
  • Dutch speaking.

Start: 1 March, 2020
Availability: 40 hours per week.
Duration: This is a long-term position starting with a temporary contract.
