About the role

For our AgriFood program, we’re looking for a team member who will lead the development of the AgriFood and Tech community around Rockstart in Denmark. With the support of the Program Team, you will be building and engaging the network of mentors, corporate partners, experts and local communities to develop a strong AgriFood ecosystem in Copenhagen and surround the startups with the best possible network. In addition, you will lead a number of events such as our Ecosystem Day and AgriFood Summit that is designed to provide AgriFood startups access to market and make Rockstart brand recognizable in Denmark.


Responsibilities

  • Build upon the Rockstart AgriFood community goals: define the strategies and execute accordingly to achieve results in the given context;
  • Conduct targeted research to identify and recruit new members for our community of mentors, partners, investors, experts, and startups;
  • Develop programs to maintain relationships with current and future community members thereby making them feel valued and engaged;
  • Develop a plan to engage and activate influencers focusing on the goals of awareness and evangelism;
  • Develop a plan to convert, engage and maintain relationships with corporate partners to drive startup/corporate collaboration and drive commercial activities at Rockstart;
  • Create and host industry-specific events, participate in conversations with, and build a strong rapport with potential new (as well as existing) community leaders, especially within the AgriFood startup ecosystem;
  • Act as go-to contact for all inbound community leads related to Rockstart AgriFood;
  • Together with the Head of Marketing, execute the Rockstart AgriFood community strategy that stems from creating relevant content across social media channels, company blog and newsletters.

Requirements

Requirements

  • Master's degree;
  • Available January 1st or earlier;
  • Living in or around Copenhagen, Denmark;
  • Fluent in English;
  • Strong preference for candidates with knowledge of the Danish language;
  • Knowledge of the AgriFood ecosystem and a deep interest in the startup scene in general;
  • Experience in community building, events management, project management & operations in a similar environment;
  • Having an already-established relevant network;
  • Strong communicator; someone who gains energy from people;
  • Natural networker;
  • Tech-savvy and super-efficient executor;
  • Proactive, entrepreneurial and results-oriented with an ability to work effectively in a dynamic environment; and
  • Experience using online tools like Trello/Copper/Google Apps;

Start: January 2020

Availability: 40 hours per week.

Duration: This is a long-term position. We’ll start with a temporary contract.

Remuneration: Based on experience and knowledge.
