Are you social, proactive and organized?

We are seeking a motivated Event Intern to join our team on an internship. Your primary responsibility will be to help plan and execute all Rockstart related events (online & offline). This means you will be part of the driving force behind all the accelerator and corporate program events such as Investor Events, Demo Days, Ecosystems Days and many more. In addition, you will be part of the team looking after all internal events such as Company Offsites, Christmas parties, Birthday celebrations etc. You will report to the Events Manager and you will align closely with our Accelerator and Corporate program teams, being active in all aspects of our event-related initiatives.


In this role you will be:

  • Supporting the entire process of initiating, planning, executing and evaluating online and offline accelerator and corporate programs events;

  • creating scripts and budgets, communicating with stakeholders setting up venues and catering, gathering and briefing teams, troubleshooting during events and participating in evaluation;

  • Help in driving the process of creating event marketing material, event evaluation forms and internal event-related communication;

  • Setting up and maintaining partnerships with supplier and negotiating deals;

  • Ensuring Rockstart delivers top quality smooth and cost efficient events;

  • Other ad-hoc tasks, including support on facility and internal team events.

  • internal team-building and alignment activities (events, offsites, energizers etc).

Requirements

About you:

You are proactive and thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment. When there is a need to organize an event, you sink your teeth in while never losing sight of the bigger picture. You are curious by nature and always asking follow-up questions to get to the bottom of something. You can envision and map out how specific events should be executed and your previous experience of organizing online events allows you to quickly choose which online tools to use. You connect easily with people from all kinds of places and backgrounds and you are comfortable with being proactive and taking the lead when needed. You have a keen eye for detail and enjoy the event preparation stage while creating planning spreadsheets and events scripts. You want to learn more and grow with the startup ecosystem industry.


Main requirements:

  • Pursuing a BSc/MSc degree in Business, Facilities, Events, or other related fields;

  • A desire to learn about the venture capital industry, tech startups, and entrepreneurship;

  • Strong ability to take on responsibility and work independently with a results-oriented attitude;

  • Analytical mindset and extremely high attention to details;

  • Well developed social and interpersonal skills, strong relationship management skills;

  • Advanced knowledge of Excel;

  • Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal) in English;

  • A ton of enthusiasm for Rockstart’s mission in supporting the best startups.


Other details:

Start: August/September 2022

Availability: 36-40 hours per week.

Duration: This is a short-term position.

Location: Amsterdam/Copenhagen or remote
