Are you social, proactive and organized?

We’re seeking a skilled Facility Manager to join our Rockstart Spaces team on a 24-hour basis in Amsterdam. In this role, together with your team, you will be responsible for all the office and facility management activities of our Amsterdam office (HQ). Thereby you will support our Nijmegen, Den Bosch and Copenhagen office on their facility-related initiatives.

You will report to the Head of Spaces.

It is important that you are a self-starter and can respond directly to different kinds of situations. You are someone who can easily switch between activities and keep a high level of quality in providing service. You are organized and detail-oriented, flexible and able to prioritize. You have excellent customer service skills, are reliable and able to take initiative.

Your main responsibilities will be:

  • Managing and overseeing the day to day workplace operations, ensuring the office is running smoothly and efficiently, delivering the highest service levels.
  • Owning the entire process of on- and offboarding for Rockstart Spaces members;
  • Managing the Rockstart reception team;
  • Seeking for new Rockstart Spaces members for our offices;
  • Creating commercial proposals & tours for potential new members.
  • Setting up and maintaining partnerships with suppliers, negotiating deals and conducting regular evaluations;
  • Ordering all office supplies;
  • Acting as a key liaison between Rockstart and the Rockstart Spaces members, making sure that all requirements are met;
  • Other ad-hoc tasks including support on event management and internal team events.



  • 1-3 years experience in a similar role;
  • Fluent in English & Dutch
  • Affinity with the startup ecosystem;
  • Living in or around Amsterdam;
  • A strong eye for detail;
  • Customer/stakeholder satisfaction oriented;
  • Proactive, entrepreneurial, results-oriented attitude with an ability to work effectively in a non-hierarchical environment.

Start: February 2020

Availability: 24 hours per week.

Duration: This is a long-term position starting with a temporary contract.

Remuneration: Based on experience and knowledge.
