Job description

The Role:

We’re looking for a hands-on, detail oriented, driven, intern, to help execute our innovation and corporate programs. You will be working in close collaboration with the Corporate Programs Manager and Ecosystem Director, helping them to design programs for startups and our clients. Ensuring that all stakeholders involved in the programs are well informed, and that the program reaches it’s targets on time, while maintaining Rockstart’s high level of execution and satisfaction scores. This internship offers plenty of opportunities to learn, grow and find an exciting Thesis / Professional Project topic.
Just a few of the responsibilities:

  • Supporting the Corporate Program Manager in running the various programs: supporting the entire process of planning, executing and evaluating Rockstart’s corporate programs;

  • Market research for Rockstart corporate clients and the Rockstart Funds (Agrifood, Energy and Emerging Technologies).

  • Participate in and take recap of all the check-in meetings with startups, mentors and corporate clients;

  • Actively engaging the right investors, mentors, partners and startups in our events;

  • Working with our scouting team to support where needed in analyzing potential startups for the corporate programs;

  • Working with our marketing team to help design and execute the marketing campaigns for our corporate programs. Managing our corporate program’s social media platforms;

  • Working closely together with the Events manager to ensure perfect execution of the finals events;

  • Keeping track of programs budgets and incoming invoices specific to each program;

You are curious to learn more about the startup - corporate world, understanding the types of collaborations between them, whether it is investment, research and development or mentorship, you want to create value on both ends, a true collaboration. You get a buzz of executing a well organised program, ensuring all startups are not only enjoying the program but can apply learnings directly to their day to day.

As the corporate programs intern you would be meeting with several clients, startups, mentors, and investors, and work with several teams at Rockstart therefore you need to enjoy meeting new people, be approachable yet professional. You are a team player, always have a solution driven attitude, and can work calmly and well under pressure. You are always looking for how we can learn from feedback and improve our operations, and programs.

Next to this we require:

  • Students are registered in a Dutch university or educational institute during the entire duration of the internship;
  • University Degree - In your bachelor 3rd year, or Master;
  • You have some knowledge and deep interest in startup methodology or corporate innovation;
  • You have gained 6 +months of internship or work experience in operations, event management, or project management in either a startup or corporate;
  • You are a strong communicator who gains energy from networking and meeting people;
  • You’re tech-savvy and strive for efficiency;
  • You have a proactive, entrepreneurial, results-oriented attitude with an ability to work effectively in a fast-paced organization;
  • You are fluent in English;

Start: August

Availability: 40 hours per week;

Duration: 6 months

Remuneration: € 300 monthly + travel expenses

Location: Amsterdam or Netherlands Remote (on a Dutch Internship Agreement).
