As an Analyst you will have the opportunity to support the process from identification, qualification, to running analysis on early stage startups, finding the best tech startups for selection and for a prospective  investment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support the Rockstart investment team in the scouting, sourcing and development of new investment opportunities.

• Specifically engage with the Dutch ecosystem around the energy transition with a particular focus on startups, organizations, projects and others within consumer-focused energy measures.

  • Researching companies and trends, to shape and refine fund investment strategy.

• Support the Rockstart investment team in collecting, analyzing and categorizing the portfolio based on qualitative and quantitative data to monitor performance with periodic reporting.

• Support the Rockstart investment team in the market research necessary to analyze and support investment recommendations.

• Support various Corporate Programs with scouting and conversion calls with startups

About you

• Your education is within or otherwise you have knowledge about energy transition in the Netherlands

• You have knowledge of communities, networks, partners, startups, NGOs within the Netherlands’ energy efficiency and transition.

• You have some prior experience in working in or collaborating with startups and entrepreneurial activities.

• You are someone who appreciates a fast paced environment, likes to speak with many different founders and market players, and who does not need everyday to be set in stone in advance.

Requirements:

• A bachelor's in business, finance, economics or similar.

• 1-2 years of relevant experience working in startup ecosystem environment or VC.

• Data-driven, being able to critically approach evaluation forms

• Well-developed social and interpersonal skills

• Genuine interest in the Energy Transition sector in the Netherlands

• Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal) in English and Dutch (hard requirement)

• Being able to travel inside Amsterdam and occasionally at North and South Holland

Start: August/September 2025

Availability: 40 hours per week

Duration: Initial 7 month contract, with views to extend to a longer period
