The role

Rockstart is an early stage investor on a mission to empower founders to drive positive change on a global scale. With a global network and offices in Amsterdam, Copenhagen and Bogotá, we’re providing proven fast-track scaling programs and early stage investments for purpose-driven founders operating in the verticals such as Energy, AgriFood and Emerging Technology.


As a Marketing and Communications Intern you will have the opportunity to work with us and tell Rockstar's story and that of the passionate founders we invest in.


We are looking for an intern that is excited about digital marketing and communications and who loves to work with data and create content. Our Marketing and Communications team is small , which means you’ll get a chance to work on a lot of different tasks: data analytics, writing reports and blog posts, creating social media content, managing digital platforms analytics and reporting, all while working closely with the marketing and communications team and other Rockstart teams.


Although part of your week will be consistent and will allow you to dive into and improve on specific aspects of digital marketing and communications, the rest is usually very diverse and will enable you to try out a lot of different communications channels and methods. Being a Marketing and Communications Intern at Rockstart requires flexibility and a diverse set of skills from your side, but comes with a lot of freedom and great learning opportunities. All of these while working closely with the Marketing and Communications Coordinator and the Head of Brand & Research. You will also have the opportunity to work alongside our experienced international team focused on our programs and funds and covering the European and LatAm markets.


Since we communicate in English and data analytics but also writing are important for this role, we are looking for someone who is skilled in analyzing data and has preferably done research projects and created reports before.

Some possible responsibilities:

  • Support the team in analyzing internal and external sources of data and creating compelling content (reports, blog posts, social media content)

  • Support the marketing team with launches, campaigns and events

  • Support in measuring and keeping updated all metrics and KPIs

  • Collaborate with all Rockstart teams, to ensure excellent communication and integration of the overall Marcom planning

  • Monitor the ever-changing world of startups, investments, VC, funds etc.

Requirements

Last but not least, we’ll need you to:

  • Be registered as a last year student or Master student during the course of the internship

  • Be fluent in English. Other languages such as Dutch or Spanish are a plus

  • Come with a ton of enthusiasm for Rockstart’s mission in empowering purpose driven founders

  • Bonus points: we love our interns to bring something extra to the table, so we encourage you to mention in your motivation any special knowledge or experience that in your opinion is very valuable for Rockstart

Availability: 32 to 40 hours per week

Duration: 6 months (with the possibility to extend the contract)

Remuneration: €600 monthly + travel expenses

Location: remote Netherlands, with a possibility to work from the office in Amsterdam
