The Role:

In your role as Operations Intern, you will be working in the fast-paced and dynamic ‘Accelerate’ team to support the execution of our 2 running programs; Rockstart Energy and Rockstart AgriFood. No two days will be the same; on the front end you will support the program teams with data collection, event preparation and a variety of internal projects that contribute on a larger, company-wide level. On the backend and in close collaboration with the Head of Relations, you will support the day-to-day management of Rockstart’s stakeholder database. On the whole, you will learn what is required to prepare and execute an accelerator program and have the possibility to potentially move into a Program Associate role following your internship.

Main responsibilities:

  • Providing general operational and logistical support to the program teams

  • Ad hoc tasks to ensure smooth setup and execution of accelerator deep dive weeks

  • Conducting researching on relevant investor networks and supporting with outreach

  • Gathering and evaluating workshop providers via various data sources

  • CRM Database mgmt: data entry, organization, research and categorization of stakeholders.

  • Continuous improvement: collect feedback and make improvements to the process as the program progresses and capture this knowledge to share with relevant teams.

You are a team player who picks up the slack when you see a need for it and you work at a blazing pace to deliver on deadlines. Even though you are very good at what you do, you don’t feel the need to always be on the forefront but rather enjoy having a supportive function as long as it’s something you believe in and you are of great value to the process.

Next to this we require:

  • You are a final year student, registered in a Dutch university or educational institute during the entire duration of the internship;
  • Proactive, entrepreneurial and results-oriented attitude;

  • Capacity to work effectively in a remote setting;

  • Ability to adapt fast and learn the ropes quickly;

  • Proficient in English (internal working language at Rockstart);

  • Technically skilled and quick with excel sheets and IT systems;

  • International mindset and curious by nature;


  • Previous experience in operations, project management and/or event management

  • A deep interest in the startup scene and/or having organized/attended startup-related events in the past.

  • Experience using online tools like Zoom/Notion/Copper/Google App

Start: September

Availability: 32 - 40 hours per week;

Duration: 6 + months

Remuneration: € 300 monthly + travel expenses

Location: Amsterdam or Netherlands Remote (on a Dutch Internship Agreement).
