Portfolio Platform Technical Developer

About the Role: 
This is a hands-on opportunity to contribute to the development of portfolio management systems in a leading European impact VC. You’ll support and co-create frameworks, tools, and processes that improve how Rockstart monitors, evaluates, and communicates the performance of its portfolio companies across the AgriFood, Energy, and Emerging Tech domains.

You’ll work closely with our platform and investment teams, helping to build the foundations of data-driven decision-making, capital allocation, and reporting excellence. This role sits at the intersection of venture capital, data analytics, and impact measurement.

Key Responsibilities : 

• Maintain and improve performance dashboards and other data tools used for capital allocation and internal decision-making.

• Identify, document, and implement improvements to portfolio data collection and processing methods.

• Support the preparation of investor and regulatory reports for multiple early-stage funds.

• Assist in updating and optimizing fundraising and marketing materials (decks, datasheets) with timely, relevant performance data.

• Coordinate general portfolio-related administrative tasks to support smooth fund operations.

Technical Skills:

• Familiarity with SQL, Python, or R for data extraction and transformation.

• Hands-on experience with BI tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or Looker.

• Solid understanding of financial modeling for portfolio analysis, startup metrics, and valuations.

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel / Google Sheets, including Pivot Tables, Power Query, and basic scripting (VBA/macros).

• Experience or strong interest in venture capital, impact investing, or early-stage tech ecosystems.
