About the role

As the Program Associate for the Emerging Tech program, you will have the opportunity to be part of a meaningful network of startups, mentors, investors and corporate partners. You will learn first-hand how a value-adding investor collaborates with startups, and support purpose driven founders in growing their businesses.

You will become part of our diverse international team and you will work in close collaboration with the Emerging Tech investment team that invests in up to 10 startups per year. Your role will be in the team that develops and executes the acceleration programmes for these startups. You will be responsible for the high level execution of the program, while learning and using your skills how to design programs and events for our ecosystem. Your main responsibilities are:

  • Collaborate with the Emerging Tech Program Lead (whom you will report to) in the running of various Rockstart Accelerator Programs: being ingrained in the entire process of planning, executing and evaluating accelerator programs;

  • Engage with startups and understand their needs and design tailored programs to accelerate their growth;

  • Engage our vast network of investors, mentors and partners to find meaningful collaboration opportunities;

  • Create evaluation reports, with impact metrics on every program ensuring that we can always improve our support towards each stakeholder;

  • Prepare briefing materials, presentations, meetings for all the people involved in the selection process of the startups for the programs;

  • Team up with the investment team to support the scouting process, ensuring we scout for the best startups for our funds;

  • Carry out ongoing evaluations to monitor the success metrics of the program, by using feedback and evaluations in all areas, and communicate these results to the team;

  • Understand in depth the needs of entrepreneurs in this domain to build, operate and coordinate an alumni program to support in a less intensive way entrepreneurs after the program;

  • Team up with our marketing department, to design and execute the marketing campaigns for our Emerging Tech Program;

  • Work closely with the Events manager, to ensure perfect execution of impactful events for our founders

Requirements

About you

You have a natural curiosity to learn more about the complexities of the startup ecosystems, and a desire to create value. You get a buzz from executing a well organized program or event, ensuring all startups are not only enjoying themselves, but gaining knowledge to enable them to apply learnings directly to their day to day.

Using your excellent operational and coordinating skills, you will demonstrate a clear ability to understand the startups’ needs. You are a true team player that always has a solution driven attitude, and can work calmly and well under pressure.

Must have requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree or Master's degree in business administration, innovation, project management business design or a similar related field;

  • You have knowledge of and deep interest in startup methodologies;

  • You have 1-2 years of experience in operations, program execution, in either a startup, corporate, or incubator/accelerator program;

  • You are a strong communicator who gains energy from networking and meeting people;

  • You have a proactive, entrepreneurial, results-oriented attitude with an ability to work effectively in a fast-paced organization;

  • You are very detail oriented, organized with an operational mind. You enjoy coordinating, scheduling and monitoring activities;

  • You have good numerical and database skills to build dashboards and make decisions based on data;

  • You are fluent in English, Danish a bonus

Start: July 2022

Availability: full-time.

Remuneration: Based on experience.

Location: Copenhagen or Remote Denmark (under the Danish contract)
