The Role
In this new role as Investor Relations Intern, you will support the Investor Relations Manager and wider Relations team with operational tasks and projects to ensure that Rockstart provides top-notch support to ensure the growth of our portfolio companies, and delivers relevant opportunities to our investors. In this role, you will learn more about the startup and investor ecosystem in Europe and will build operational skills to manage large scale communities. This role would be perfect for someone who wants to sharpen their skills in business development/community management and contribute with their own ideas on how we can deliver more to our growing portfolio. You can do your research/graduation project within this internship.


Main Responsibilities:

  • Database management;

  • Prepare and send external communications (invitations, opportunity updates, etc.);

  • Identify and reach out to new investment funds and angel networks;

  • Facilitate startup<>investor e-introductions;

  • Collect and compile relevant information for ‘Startup Fundraising Reports’;

  • Support with tasks that ensure smooth execution of Rockstart investor events; and

  • Adhoc projects and tasks to support the overall success of the Relations team.



What makes you the perfect candidate?

You have an excellent command of English, both written and spoken. You’re thorough and methodical in your approach to work, and you’re comfortable taking on a variety of different tasks and projects at the same time. You’re a fast learner and can work autonomously, taking the initiative to ask questions and/or reach out proactively to other teams when needed. Most importantly, you are detail-oriented and take pride in delivering quality work.


Next to this, we require:

  • You are a student registered in a Dutch university or educational institute during the entire duration of the internship;

  • Capacity to work effectively in a remote setting;

  • Technically skilled and quick with excel sheets and IT systems;

  • International mindset and curious by nature;


  • Previous experience in operations, project management, and/or database management

  • An interest in the startup scene

  • Experience using online tools like Zoom/Notion/Copper/Google App


Start: ASAP

Availability: 32 - 40 hours per week;

Duration: 6 + months

Remuneration: Competitive + travel expenses

Location: Amsterdam or Netherlands Remote (on a Dutch Internship Agreement).
