There are currently around 40 people in our team. Rockstart integrated Holacracy in 2015 – a new Operational System for organisations. The system has been referred to as a work system for adults. In Holacracy there are no people managers, which means everyone is accountable for their own role. The system provides autonomy to each individual, while at the same time allowing for a clear structure on how we work together. Working in a Holacracy means you have to have an entrepreneurial spirit and that you’re ready to take ownership over your work.

At Rockstart you will not only be surrounded by our team, but also over 150 other driven and talented startup entrepreneurs at Rockstart Spaces (there are 50+ startups situated here). You’ll have a chance to meet a mix of founders, designers, developers, marketing people and experienced Rockstart mentors. This makes a great opportunity to expand your network in the startup world and get to know all the great new innovations, apps and projects that are being developed here.
At Rockstart we have a great events space (the Ballroom), that is always being used for different events you can join, usually with drinks and snacks provided. As Rockstart staff you will even get access to some of the closed events that are, for example, part of the Rockstart Accelerator program. These are normally only accessible to the 10 startups that get selected for the program from hundreds of applications every year.
Balanced body & mind
We have a weekly yoga & mindfulness sessions on Thursday morning from 08:00 to 09:00h. And of course the beautiful canals surrounding our building lend themselves perfectly for a mid-afternoon stroll.
We have a free team breakfast every Monday and drinks (with personal stories!) on Fridays. Next to that we often go on outings or just hang out together. We have a delicious lunch served every day, which is even completely free for interns! Our freshly ground coffee beans also make for a pretty decent wake-up-moment in the mornings.
