Corporate Controller

This is a unique opportunity to learn about the financial world in an international Accelerator-VC. We are looking for a proactive team member with an entrepreneurial attitude and exceptional financial skills to join our team as a Corporate Controller. This is a very diverse role that offers both a high degree of independence and requires a lot of cooperation. As Corporate Controller it is important that you work meticulously and are focused on the details.

Your role is to provide management with sound financial information, to provide input and advice aimed at making strategic decisions, improving the efficiency of financial processes, and ensuring the financial administration of all Rockstart entities is accurate.

Responsibilities:

• Guiding & overseeing the work of the financial accountant and together managing the day-to-day financial administrations

• Managing the statutory and other deadlines for reporting on finance and tax

• Monthly and quarterly financial reporting, including group consolidation

• Preparing Annual Accounts and coordinating with external auditors for the audit process including SFDR;

• Compiling quarterly Investor reports for the VC funds under management

• Preparing and filing of VAT and corporate income tax returns;

• Preparing and managing the process on capital drawdowns and assist in the distribution process of proceeds for all funds;

• Together with Compliance, reporting to the AFM/DNB in accordance with legislation and regulatory requirements;

• Managing and establishing financial control and assessment of risks;

• Preparing payments and managing the general filing of relevant documents;

• Setting up administration and reporting environments for newly incorporated VC funds and related vehicles;

About you

You would describe yourself as driven, details oriented, analytical, structured, an all-rounder and you have great organizational skills. You will report to the Finance Director. You work quickly and accurately, are a team player, take a lot of initiative and are happy with deadlines and challenges.

Your skills and experience:

• Must be fluent in English with a good understanding of Dutch;

• Very accurate and reliable working method;

• Proactive, entrepreneurial and result-oriented attitude;

• HBO work and thinking level Diploma in accountancy or similar training;

• Preferably 5+ years of relevant work experience;

• Experience with Exact Online is a bonus;

• Must have the ability to work independently and be a self starter;

Availability: May 2024

Weekly Hours: 40 hours per week with flexibility for personal commitments

Duration: 7 month initial contract - with a view to renewal.

Remuneration: Based on experience.
